Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic Junior Designer who is self-motivated, performs at a high level and capable of juggling multiple assignments. The Junior Graphic/Web Designer would assist in the creation of various web, print and multi-media material, working with and reporting directly to the Head of Design to grow and develop the Dotmatics Brand.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and update graphics for web, social media, and print
  • Assist with basic website and email marketing tasks
  • Assist with the creation of internal documents and presentations
  • Assist with maintaining website applications (Drupal, Wordpress) 
  • Prepare marketing email campaign templates
  • Assist Marketing with event collateral
  • Compose branding concepts

Person Specification

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite; in particular InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Understanding of cross browser and cross platform web design considerations
  • Understanding of email specific HTML coding
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming
  • Basic programming/scripting in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Ability to think and act strategically and proactively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on group projects with small to medium sized teams
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • A strong design portfolio (print and digital)

Bonus Skills:

  • Working knowledge of After Effects and C4D a plus
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and Reports setup
  • Basic programming/scripting in PHP and JavaScript a plus
  • Knowledge of Drupal Implementation a plus
  • Working knowledge of SSH and FTP protocols and Apache Web Server
  • Proficiency on PC a plus
